My “Cardio Quickie” Workout Featured in Weight Watchers Magazine

Weight Watchers Magazine has a new monthly workout called “Max-10 Workouts” that are designed to help you get in your daily workouts and eliminate those “I don’t have time” excuses! They asked me if I could come up with 4 quick cardio exercises that can be done in under 10 minutes to be featured in their Winter 2019 issue (on newsstands now!).

I came up with these 4 cardio focused exercises that can be done by anyone – even those with a lot of weight to lose or those with joint pain.

Fitting in just 10 minutes a day will strengthen your body and can help you lose weight! Give this a try and let me know what you think!

Sample Hill And Endurance Runs For Indoor or Outdoor

We are challenging the Honey We’re Home Fitness Challenge members to do a running workout this week! Not everyone likes to run – but if you mix things up it can be fun! Also, it’s totally fine to mix in running and walking if you are a beginner! If you are more advanced, increase your speed or your hills!

Here is the running workout that I prepared for this week! Give it a try and let me and Megan know how you like it! Tag us on IG (Cari: @carifit, Megan @honeywerehome) and also don’t forget to joint the challenge – it’s not too late!

4th of July “Firecracker” Workout

Happy 4th Weekend!

We’ve done this fun workout a few times at Bombshell Bootcamp and I thought I would share it with you guys. One of our favorites is the “Firecracker Workout” which combines explosive cardio movements with push/pull exercises for sculpting and toning. Try this workout below this holiday weekend to blast some extra fat and calories and keep you looking toned and tight for summer : )

Repeat Each Circuit 2-3 times or you can go all the way through each of the 4 and repeat the entire set 2-3 times. You’ll need a set of medium dumbbells.

Warmup: 5-10 minutes (jumping jacks, run, high knees, etc)

Push: 30 Pushups

Pull: 12-15 Bent-Over Rows with bicep grip (palms face up)

Explosive Cardio: High Knees for 60 seconds.

Push: 30 Weighted Squats (use 1-2 weights). Push your heels into the ground to really work your glutes!

Pull: 50 Seated Leg Lifts – Sit on a bench or step with both legs bent. Lift 1 leg straight out in front bringing knees level then lower back to floor. Keep abs tight too!

Explosive Cardio: 30 Burpees

Push: 30 Seated Tricep Dips (or 12-15 weighted kickbacks)

Pull: 12-15 Bicep Curls

 Explosive Cardio: 1 minute of  180 Jump Squats – Do jump squats but alternate turning right and then left as you land back into a squat.

Push: 30 Weighted Toe-Touches – Legs straight in air and with arms straight over chest, lift shoulder blades up and try to touch weight to your toes. Lower down and repeat.

Pull: 30 Leg Raises – While on your back, lower legs/feet as far down to the ground as you can get them without arching your back. As you exhale, pull legs back up to starting position.

Explosive Cardio: 50 Sets of Mountain Climbers (R+L=1 set)

Mix + Match Workout With Lorna Jane

I’m thrilled to be working with the brand Lorna Jane! Have you guys heard of them? They are huge in Australia and are expanding in the US (they are in Dallas now!). They have super cute workout clothes, food journals and other fitness accessories. Their founder Lorna Jane is amazing and is always sharing healthy lifestyle tips and recipes! Definitely check them out!

They just featured my “Mix and Match” Workout on their blog: MoveNourishBelieve.com! I filmed the workouts while I was on vacation in Cabo, which was fun but super hot! In the pics, I’m wearing their green Velocity Excel Tank and black Feline 3/4 Tight.
