Healthy Tips & Treats for Memorial Day Weekend

I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day weekend! Even if your weekend started off not so healthy – you can still make up for it now. Grilling tonight? Try lowfat proteins such as fish, chicken and veggies or try some of these other suggestions. I bought pre-packaged veggies from Whole Foods to bring to a bbq tonight and also some pre-cut watermelon, so at least I would have a few healthy options! Also when visiting family this weekend – we enjoyed a super simple dessert (pictured above). We took “no sugar added” vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and topped it with fat-free Cool Whip and berries (strawberry, blueberries, raspberries).¬†Another great dessert idea is my Red, White and Blue Fruit Cups! If you¬†indulge a little – just fit in an extra workout tonight or in the morning : )
